Our mission
To provide students with high-quality interdisciplinary learning experiences that challenge them academically and develop students' problem-solving, critical thinking, and communication skills. By building strong local partnerships with businesses and higher education entities, Advanced Technology Academy and our Ford Next Generation Learning Framework's Business Education Advisory Council (BEAC) encourage and prepares students for success in college and professional careers in fields, such as business, engineering, health care, technology, and public safety.
CTE Works for High School Students
High School students involved in CTE are more engaged, perform better, and graduate at higher rates.
- Taking one CTE class for every two academic classes minimizes the risk of students dropping out of high school.
- The average high school graduation rate for students concentrating in CTE programs is 93%, compared to an average national freshman graduation rate of 80%.
- 91% of high school graduates who earned 2-3 CTE credits enrolled
in college
In all CTE Programs, there is an opportunity for students to join the National Technical Honor Society. Students will also participate in competitions and other leadership events and activities in their specific career pathway.
