Steering the Future of Career Readiness

At the Advanced Technology Academy, our leadership team is dedicated to one primary mission: ensuring every Laker is prepared for the careers of tomorrow. Guided by a vision of academic excellence and real-world application, our administrators and Board of Directors work in tandem to bridge the gap between the classroom and the professional world.

A Vision Focused on Career Success

Our Superintendent and administrative team prioritize Career Readiness as the North Star of the ATA experience. By maintaining our rigorous Ford PAS professional development model for our staff, our leadership ensures that every teacher is equipped to deliver a curriculum that is as technically advanced as it is academically challenging. Whether through our Early Middle College or our Mechatronics labs, our leaders are focused on the 3-5 year goal of expanding pathways to high-skill, high-wage careers for our graduates.

Board of Directors: Dedicated to the Community

Appointed by our charter authorizer, Lake Superior State University, our Board of Directors meets monthly to oversee the strategic growth of the Academy.

Beyond the boardroom, our members are a constant presence in the Laker family. You will see them throughout the year at:

  • Community and Family Events: Engaging directly with parents and students to hear their needs.
  • Graduation Ceremonies: Celebrating the culmination of our students' hard work and the school’s impact.
  • Open Communication: Our board remains accessible and transparent, welcoming feedback and inquiries via email to ensure every voice in our Dearborn and Detroit communities is heard.

Accessible Administration

Though our central administrative offices are located in the Annex building, our leadership maintains a "boots-on-the-ground" approach. By collaborating daily with our security team and Henry Ford Health partners, they ensure that the "Secure Foundation" of our campus remains strong, allowing students to focus entirely on their growth and future goals.
