This 2009/2010 school year, ATA has been working hard in becoming an official Michigan Green School. By recycling, conserving energy, and celebrating our environment on Earth Day, ATA has earned an, “Evergreen” rating which places our school on the top of the Michigan “Green School” listing. On May 3, 2010, representatives from the Wayne County Michigan Green Schools office will be holding ATA's "Green" ceremony. During the ceremony, ATA will be honored for our commitment to the environment in implementing all 20 Green Points. In addition, this spring we will be planting a garden in the main ATA courtyard, hosting a solar cookout, and creating a birdhouse habitat.

If you are interested in helping ATA in any of our spring "green" initiatives please contact Ms. Nadia Vespa at: nvespa@atafordpas.org
